Lovely to see one of these "build your own" that isn't just running an emulator. The Apple I design is very simple and well-suited for this. It makes a great first breadboard computer.
There's something fascinating about the designs of that era, in how they can still be built today since there's no ASICs or other custom logic. Anything missing can usually be readily re-designed as with the Apple I here using SRAM instead of DRAM.
For the truly adventurous, the Apple II can also be cloned. With the exception of the DRAMs and character ROMs, I believe every chip used in the Apple II is still currently manufactured. And 16 Kbit used DRAMs are not exactly rare or valuable. So it's possible to make your own Apple II as well. Reactive Micro even sells a new series of Apple II revv 7 motherboard PCBs: https://www.reactivemicro.com/product/apple-ii-plus-rev-7-rfi-motherboard/ https://www.reactivemicro.com/product/apple-ii-plus-rev-7-rf... I'm sorely tempted but I know I'll lose months and months to it if I splurge.
