The use of words like “insurrection” and “coup” just feels like propaganda spread by news media and extremists activists, and unfortunately they have succeeded in bringing it into common use. It’s amazing to me that so much focus has been drawn onto this event, with such hyperbolic and inaccurate use of terminology. It feels like this investigation is the political left’s equivalent of the Benghazi investigations, where undeserved focus and outrage lingered for months. Meanwhile the far greater damage, deaths, and impact of BLM riots from 2020 remains ignored and even downplayed by all the same actors.
