Roblox sues banned ‘cybermob leader’ for terrorizing the platform, its developers
- jfengel 5y agoOn the Internet, middle school bullies (and adults who never stopped being middle school bullies) have access to the entire world. And just like in middle school, they're basically impossible to stop. Responsible authorities don't wish to deal with it. To them it feels petty, impossible to prove at the required level for interference, and they tell you to go work it out on your own. Call them when someone is bleeding or dead. And so once the bullies have latched on to you, you will never be free of them. I wish Roblox luck, but they're probably not going to win. They may get a judgment that is never paid, and the bully still won't stop. He'll easily work around any court ordered restraint. And if the court orders prison, many will insist the punishment too harsh and an infringement on his rights.
- dane-pgp 5y agoThat's such a negative view of the world, I want to ask "Who hurt you?", but clearly the answer is your middle school bullies. You have my sincere sympathy if you went through that. Also, for what it's worth, I think your negative view of the situation is largely accurate.
