It's interesting how the discussion is always so incredibly black and white. Crypto doesn't have to fix every major problem in three separate categories for it to be relevant, or whatever HN typically proclaims crypto to not be. All it has to do is improve things and challenge the status quo. The fact that I'm in complete control of things in that one little corner of the internet is enough for me to be excited about the future of things. Who cares if crypto doesn't literally uproot global democracies and cause every fiat currency worldwide to collapse?
