Ask HN: Do businesses still use MSSQL?
MSSQL/Azure SQL etc microsoft's proprietary databases
- manbart 5y agoYeah
- sdmike1 5y agoYeah, mostly .NET shops in my experience.
- jfmatth 5y agoYes, and they also use Oracle, DB2 and Others that are proprietary. Open source DB's are great, but scaling them easily is not something the Enterprise world has time for, time is money. I think Postgres and MySQL have come a long way.
