I Grew Up Poor. How Am I Supposed to Raise My Middle-Class Kids?
- SalameHeidari 5y agoWhat you're going through is understandable but it is a fact that upper class people, even those who feel sympathy for the poor, do not have a clear idea how being poor is like. And what you did for your kids was exactly because you didn't want them to know how living in poverty feels like, like you did as a child. So as long as they know about your past, they respect it, and they appreciate what you give them, I think it's ok. You can't expect them more. Your inner struggle needs to be fixed , though.
