If you're in it for the money, one question is whether or not you have a Mac and iPhone. iOs may gross more revenue, but if you have to spend $1000 just to get the necessary hardware to develop, then that's going to cut into your net revenue deeply.
- cageface 15y agoIf $1000 seems like too much to get started, then this is a hobby, not a serious attempt at starting a business. I've been doing iOS exclusively for the last year but I think at this point I'd steer a beginner towards Android. The learning curve is shallower and the market is less saturated with quality apps. The two platforms are really not so different in many ways so much of what you learn on Android you can transfer later.
