Wright is the pen name of a once-internal blogger at Microsoft, whose writings are now mostly public) Our code has a pile of unit tests that run on every commit, but also a few dozen end-to-end/scenario/whatever tests that run against prod every five minutes or every hour, depending on the impact. I don't know how I'd ever sleep at night without this.
