Ask HN: Is GitHub's "Contribute Compare" UI/UX on the Way Out?
It used to be fairly easy to find an entry point into that most-helpful UI in one of "my repositories", or that of a third-party, by selecting a non-main branch at the top-level of a repo's GitHub Web UI, then clicking the Contribute dropdown on the far-right of that element, and then clicking Compare.
From there, one could play with the base and compare dropdowns.
Of late, I find it's completely hit-or-miss, regardless of the browser, and regardless of that browser's regular vs. private mode (if it has that distinction).
Anyone else experienced similar? I've found it quite disruptive the past several days, but maybe it's just me?
