The motherboard price situation was similar when Zen 3 CPUs came out. In a few more months, B- and H- series motherboards should come out with more reasonable prices.
At the moment, if you're living a US city with a Microcenter, you can apparently get Asus Z690M-Plus Prime DDR4 for $170 if you buy it together with a CPU.
