- thrwawy3E11A 5y agoI see futility in describing the slime of Amazon to an unconditional fan. Optics planet, long before supply issues, has pillarized their business with false advertising where items are advertised as readily available, undercut all competitor pricing, but have hidden backorders of months or no availability at all yet are always promoted for sale regardless. They cancel orders without notice and contrive bizarre excuses when questioned. I speculate that they see value in maintaining high sales stats and falsely outpricing competition, artificially appearing larger and higher volume resulting in better SEO and marketing. A steady drip of other slime oozes from their sleeves, especially related to shipping and order fulfilment and elsewhere. They are also paid cronies with the BBB, and invulnerable via that avenue. Product reviews are strangely nowhere nearly as full of shit as Amazon.
