Ask HN: Free online site security scanners?
- LinuxBender 5y agoCan you add more details about what you are trying to scan and what the overall goal is? Is this just https end points, other applications, one IP, many IP's? There are no truly free scanners but there are some services for scanning small volumes of specific things.
- Igor_Wiwi 5y agoNothing in particular, trying to find what is available right now for any kind of security checks. Please note that source code is not available.
- LinuxBender 5y agoOh so you are looking for something more like static analysis / fuzzing of your code? I don't have an answer but I know that one exists and is likely in one of the links / articles on packetstorm security [1]. There are some open source static analysis tools but I have not used them. There is also a small list on OWASP. [2] You should also ask what the best open source tools are on stackexchange, but search around and lurk a bit before asking. [3] If you are concerned about your intellectual property leaking out, I would avoid any clouds that claim to do this for you unless you enter into a notarized contract with them that puts skin in the game for them if they leak your code.
