A point they make that is one I've been surprised by - just how very nice it is to spend all day with my pets nearby. I certainly knew I loved and enjoyed my dogs back when I spent the workday away in the city, but it's been even more fulfilling than I would have thought to really become part of the rhythm of each others' days all day long. Maybe this is a reaction to the isolation of the pandemic, but I think will be grateful all my life for this extra 2+ years of time, especially with my older dog.

I moved tk a bigger house so they get the space to move around and have fun. It's sheer joy to watch them bond and just come to me for pets. I don't want to give that up. An office that calls me back to work is one that doesn't understand me.
