This kind of thing always makes me leery of physical products tied to an app. It’s all well and good while the company finds the app profitable. When it no longer yields profits, the app degrades or vanishes and the product usually becomes useless. Caveat emptor, I guess, but it sure would be nice to not create so much junk when a company decides a product that people have bought and enjoy is burdensome.
