It was only so long ago somebody asked "[Whatever happened to Wolfram Alpha](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29131931 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29131931)". As somebody who didn't have Mathematica installed at the time, cheesing a problem with Wolfram Alpha was for sure one of the best applications I've had with it.
this year I guess I should probably have mathematica installed
- FPGAhacker 5y agoWhy bother installing Mathematica? You get all the functionality for free in their cloud notebooks.
- freemint 5y agoIf you just want access to the language and are fine with Jupyter as a front end you can just use https://www.wolfram.com/engine/ https://www.wolfram.com/engine/ no need to buy anything then.
