Notepad++ v8.1.9.1 Release
- kumarvvr 5y agoI love Notepad++, but sadly, I have never used it since I started using VSCode.
- coder4life 5y agoIt's so much faster though If I'm in c# I'm in vs studio, but everything else I love Notepad++ more for it's speed.
- approxim8ion 5y agoI still use it a lot on Windows as a scratchpad kind of thing. The near instant load times and the persistent memory are super useful to me.
- themadturk 5y agoNotepad++ is my primary editor on Windows. I don't write code, but I am in and out of a dozen or more text files a day, looking at EDI data, translator configurations, etc. It's fast and remembers the files I had open yesterday. I find its search dialog to be big and clunky, but it's a minor issue compared to the overall utility of the editor (and I love how it counts instances of what it finds). The only thing I use VSCode for is analyzing CSV files; its Rainbow CSV plugin is the best way to visualize a big CSV file to find out where a client messed up their input.
