Acute Coronary Syndrome Risk Biomarkers Increase After mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine
- WalterGR 5y agoThis seems relevant? Emphasis mine: "The study included 566 men and women (1:1) aged 28-97 years, who were patients in a preventive cardiology practice."
- finite_jest 5y agoAlso even when applying the study's conclusion to the target population, we should at least do the naive rationalist thing and compare the expected outcomes. For someone with a cardiological condition, I bet that the expected loss of life-years would be much more if they choose not to get vaccinated.
- NoPie 5y agoIt looks very relevant. Current vaccination guidelines do not say anything about potential issues for people with heart problems. It also mentions that this may be related to some adverse reactions we already know such as thrombosis.
- nojokes 5y agoIt is relevant - they did not have a control group. Perhaps their situation would have deteriorated that far without vaccine? This is definitely something to keep eye on but it should read - something might be going on - more study is necessary.
