Proof of steaak is pretty water intensive, which limits scaling and produces just as much waste as proof of work. We should move to a proof of spud system instead, based on cryptographic hash browns.
- jschwartzi 5y agoI think if it’s water efficiency you’re after you should check out my proof of millet system. It continues to produce new coins even in deserts and historic droughts. And you don’t have to drain Jackson Lake for your proofs!
- meatverse 5y agoAs the website indicates, "it’s also designed to be easily replaceable by other algorithms based on lab-grown or plant-based meat". Our scientists think of everything!
- pdpi 5y agoYeah, I saw that, but I'm still concerned about plant-based meat emulation being a processing-intensive solution.
- geoduck14 5y agoNone of that was covered in their white paper
- meatverse 5y agoIt wouldn't stay white if we wrote things on it!
