My personal theory is our living environment in western world is over sanitized. This makes it ripe for any infection spread.
If you think about it our immune system has been outsourced to megacorps. Hopefully that last statement speaks for itself.
Don't get me wrong, good hygiene is important but our living environment needs a good balance with organisms. That picture perfect home with an immaculately trimmed green lawn comes at a huge price (chemically made pretty).
Another theory is cashless societies appear to have been hit greatest by COVID. Let me expand on this idea ... Currency, specifically coins can greatly prevent the transmission of harmful organisms.
Again, this is a personal view. I'm not an anti-vaxxer by any means.
- 1cvmask 5y agoThe problem is that one cannot even have a discussion on so many subject matters today without having ad hominem attacks hurled on them. Everything has been politicized to the point that there are even advocacy groups saying that Math is racist and white supremacist. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29273494 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29273494
