I tend to think that, if you don't think you are ready, you're probably right. There will be other opportunities. The worst that could happen is that you get published and then critically slammed because your inexperience comes through. If this gets enough votes/attention, there will be a flood of well-wishers and "You should do it!" suggestions. Maybe they're right, I have no clue. I just have always followed my instincts and, when my instincts told me that I was potentially getting in over my head, I ran. It's worked out well for me. There are always other opportunities, particularly when it comes to publishing. Good luck!
