And never once did they learn a thing from the told you so. Sales is ridiculously decoupled from all the chaos they cause in most companies. Must be a easy job, selling something a company can not offer and then not having bear responsibility if you can not deliver.
- brianmcc 5y agoWe did actually make some progress on this in one place - if sales wanted a 50 day project priced at 30 days they had to get the executive team to approve a discount rather than sell an artificially low estimate. Happily those days, for me, are long ago :-)
