- WalterGR 5y agoIt’s a dupe and hence the flagging is to be expected.
- stickfigure 5y agoThe original was also flagged, so I don't think this is the answer.
- smegger001 5y agoalso many comments in both are being flagged dead.
- WalterGR 5y agoYou can comment and reply on the original article, so what’s the distinction other than a text label?
- smegger001 5y agoflagged dead posts don't get seen. so commenting on them is just shouting into the void. both are now flagged dead. someone is purposefully killing discussion of this article.
- grzm 5y agoFlagged and flagged dead are two different things: flagged dead doesn’t mean “strenuously flagged”. If the post is dead, no one can comment on it.
- Borrible 5y agometoo
- happytoexplain 5y agoIt could be flagged because of the title's tone of identity politics (ironically, considering that identity politics is what the author is ostensibly criticizing).
- beej71 5y ago"On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity." I don't think it breaks any rules, but it might be considered off-topic by many. It's certainly not why I come to HN.
- mdp2021 5y agoThose with the interest with intellectual curiosity are supposed to be also interested to the intellectual world. And its analysis and consideration is object of intellectual curiosity. We are not in a vacuum but bearing the effects of historic movements from which also our interests depend. These things are important and relevant.
