A take home is unreasonable because it's a large time investment for low reward for homework that takes more than an hour. I've never got feedback when I've been rejected at that stage, and when I've made it to later stages it doesn't seem like the offers or jobs are any better. I have no incentive when interviewing seems like a numbers game. It just seems like trying to prove that you'll put up with a companies BS.
