Bitcoin needs even more fresh meat than the average "purely financial" scheme because there's an unavoidable amount of value leaving the scheme every day just to pay for electricity to keep the whole show rolling.
- pcthrowaway 5y agoBitcoin yes, but the cryptocurrency market as a whole is moving towards proof of stake cryptocurrencies which don't have this specific issue. In 4-10 years I don't think Bitcoin will still be the most valuable cryptocurrency by market cap.
