I have an 8 year old. She uses Chromebook at school for writing. At home she uses an Ipad for homework. I teach her Scratch coding on the iPad. We also do some microbit coding. Once in a while she will ask to watch a video on beagles on YouTube. That is the extent of it. Some of her classmates have Tiktok accounts. I am not sure their parents know. I think I have a good level of trust with my kids. I have not run into any issues.
