I'm confused, if an individual bidder bids more than the DAO, wouldn't that bring more to charity than the DAO? Perhaps the argument is that the DAO is raising hype and therefore raising the price for the winning bid and the hype itself will increase the total going to charity, I just don't see how the DAO would necessarily be giving more to charity than an individual if the individual had a higher bid.
