This merely shows that most VCs are utter dullards who want complex things -- using computers to solve some kind of business problem -- to be turned into something extremely simple and are willing to swallow a pile of bullshit for that to happen. I'm sure Theranos' pitch deck was super tight and got right to the chorus while also being full of things that were impossible to create. If pitches have to to be overly short because there are so many of them, do fewer of them.
