I will also suggest however to watch out for confirmation bias regarding your idea of a typical vegan. 4 of my close friends are vegan and we all only share that information when it's necessary (e.g. about to eat with strangers) and none of us frequently pontificate about the morals with non-vegans either online or in-person.
