Product Managers Have the Worst Ideas

- eyelidlessness 5y agoI don’t disagree with the premise of the article but > 34% of failed ventures are a result of not finding the right problem to solve. The second and third most common reasons, marketing problems and team problems, only account for 22% and 18% of failed startups respectively. A 1/3 plurality isn’t as significant as it sounds when your next two also-rans are larger combined, and likely have huge overlap with your first place reason for failure. If the three together account for 74% of startup failures, I’d be more focused on how they overlap and reinforce each other than any one of them in particular.
