Lower Decks is the best of the nu trek.

Lower Decks is quite good, though I think the number of people who would subscribe to Paramount+ solely for it is lower.

Piracy is competition and by not competing, studios make sure pirate ecosystems stay healthy.

In the 90s I paid $400 a year (in today's money) to watch DS9. I'd certainly subscribe to Paramount plus at say $100/year to watch Trek. However that's not an option, so I'll watch it from torrents. Looking at Paramount Plus in the US though "a few shows include brief promotional interruptions to keep you in the loop on new and upcoming Paramount+ programming." Nope, looks like Torrents are the only way.

I find the promotional interruptions annoying, but fwiw, for the full price version, it's only a pre-roll ad. Once the show starts it is uninterrupted.
