The Trouble with Platforms
- oftenwrong 5y agoThis is relevant to the classic 'frameworks vs libraries' comparison. Sometimes the hardest part of an implementation with a framework is fitting your solution into the framework, especially when you begin to stretch the assumptions of the framework. The gluing-together-libraries approach allows you to make the structure of the program fit the problem (at the additional expense of having to write more boilerplate).

- sharemywin 5y agoI think this is a good point. alot of smaller tools, services components etc. I would also add you need a good way to discover those things across an organization.
