My biggest feeling about learning JavaScript build tools and ecosystems is I learned nothing! I learned a bunch of ways to navigate through man-made unecessary complexities, and end up with no new knowledge in computing. The brightside is it increases my tolerence for bloatware, which is a valuable skill to have nowadays. esbuild is one of the few good tools, it has a ton of features and it's still fast and lean.
