YES! (Except for the 6000 pounds of metal alloys, batteries, lithium, plastic, semiconducturs, cables, leather and in some cases carbon fiber...then it's all about software)
But YES! When I see a car, I always think of software first and foremost.
And , I should add, it's a genuine sentiment, it's totally not propaganda thrown into the ether via twitter by the cult leader...ehm I mean CEO.
Waymo is software, if you are desperate to get some software you should be desperate to merge with Waymo, they'd be the software to GM/Ford hardware.
But to be clear:
1) GM/Ford are not desperate, they know what they have in hand, unlike others they don't need to bluff.
2) GM's Cruise LLC is doing exactly what Waymo is doing.
3) Waymo doesn't want to mix their blood with any other company, they want to provide the driver (Aka the software)
