In general using IPv6 reverse proxied by something like CF is the optimal solution to most problems.
- jeroenhd 5y agoIf you're going the Cloudflare route, then just get a cheap VPS somewhere and run off that instead. Gets you both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, and you can always proxy stuff yourself if you need to access local hardware. It's a solution, but it's hardly the home server project you could (and should be able to) run from your home internet.
- lmm 5y agoIf you're going to rely on cloudflare, who control access to a huge number of sites and explicitly choose to cut off some of them for political reasons, why even bother hosting something yourself? At that point you might as well be posting on facebook.
