Is this on an M1 Mac? Is the difference in battery usage enough to shift to safari? I quit safari a while back cos it did some very weird things and I've been using Chrome but it is very heavy on memory and battery life.
- perryizgr8 5y agoNo this is a 2020 Intel Macbook 13. In my experience the battery life is wayyyy worse with Chrome. I don't even use the browser that much. Most of the time it is open in the background with 10-12 tabs. With Chrome, I was running out of juice in 2-3 hours. With Safari it is easily 5-6 hours before I need to reach for the charger.
