If only the government had helped Boeing and Ford, they could be as successful as SpaceX and Tesla.
- simion314 5y agoFirst of all I said "goverments" so I don't meant he USA one n particular, Tesla made a lot of money from other goverments too. Second, the US government from my understanding is doing an pretty open bidding, so SpaceX benefited from that, the reason no SpaceX appeared before is not something I can speculate , maybe there was a need for a new generation of people , or maybe we needed IT to evolve, I am not sure. I also have no idea if SpaceX would ahve existed if they could not have benefited until now and from now on on government contracts. Also let's not pretend to forget that SpaceX internet stuff is based on government research/invention. No government no roads for Tesla to run on, no Internet for Starlink to exist.
