Funny, just yesterday I was troubleshooting Carplay troubles. My Opel Ampera-E (Chevvy Bolt) would only recognize my phone as an iPod! For live I couldn't figure out the issue: I rebooted the infotainment system, I reset the infotainment system, I reset my iPhone - yet, on this particular iPhone, Carplay failed to launch. Turns out that at one point "App & privacy limits" were enabled, and this _silently_ disabled Carplay!
