  I am likewise having a helluva time trying to gauge just what this announcement means. Given IBM’s recent record + the CEO’s use of the word “implies”, color me suspicious.

  At best it's an ongoing research project. It's wise to be skeptical of IBM statements/announcements/predictions given their track record over the last couple of decades.

  Well you said it. Judge by the action not words. Any 'breakthrough' and 'IBM' together and my BS alarm is going off.
