It really sucks that policy makers and leaders failed so miserably to communicate and lead well regarding the dynamic nature of research and information acquisition as the pandemic unfolded.
Doing so was a steep challenge, for sure, but the costs (of all kinds) of failing have been astronomical.
- savant_penguin 5y agoI wouldn't call it falling to communicate add much as outright lying. We have video of fauchi telling everyone not to wear masks + private emails saying that masks won't really protect you and yet the masks mandates stand. It's no surprise that the public won't trust them when it really matters after the vaccines are finally out
