Are there any industries where documenting failure is incentivized? I could easily name a whole litany of things I've tried that didn't work (most recently: trying to use AWS security groups as a bad-actor mitigation technique), but when it's time-consuming enough to give a talk or blog about what I've had succeed, I can't imagine doing either about how I've failed.
