Tldr, he says Netflix wanted to pay him $200 per week to write some tweet copy for some kind of promotion (that involved watching lots of TV as part of the work), and spent a long time trying to get him to do some of it for free while avoiding telling him how little it paid.
- Jugurtha 5y agoI don't think the author necessarily meant 'tweets' when using the word 'pitches', given the following: >two of which they would want expanded and fleshed out or even fully scripted, for $200.
- version_five 5y agoI got that from > Netflix thought there were people out there who watched a lot of Netflix and who were already tweeting funny things “for free” who would be thankful to get any money at all for what they were already doing. I could be wrong. It looks like some kind of short form social media commentary anyway. I expect even for something short there is more to it than just typing out the final version, which is what I took the pitches + script to be.
