- stared 5y agoAlso "Jupiter Hell", which has tons of references to other games. E.g. being eaten by a grue or BFT-9K "The ultimate weapon of mass destruction, patented by a lawyered-up arms contractor, hence the nickname "Big Fucking Trademark 9000"." Vending machines also heal, as e.g. in Half-Life: https://jupiterhell.fandom.com/wiki/Vending_machine https://jupiterhell.fandom.com/wiki/Vending_machine Side note - only after I clicked the link I realized it is about vending machines selling soda. I expected an open source project of playing some games on a soda OLED (vide https://www.cnet.com/news/this-cool-oled-coke-bottle-sports-a-glowing-star-wars-rise-of-skywalker-lightsaber/ https://www.cnet.com/news/this-cool-oled-coke-bottle-sports-...).
- reidjs 5y agoThey're a clever tool for video game designers - Instantly recognizable - Simple compared to a 'shop keeper' or something (no dialog, minimal animations)
- ghastmaster 5y agoThis makes me feel better about my Dibalo 1 fanpage. I thought I was being too esoteric or niche. This takes the cake!
- Tarsul 5y agothanks for your page! I am a big Diablo 1 fan and found a link to a very interesting buglist[1] through your homepage[2]. which has gems like this: YEAR 2039 RANDOMIZER ISSUE The game engine will stop creating random levels after midnight of January 1, 2039. Any game started before January 1, 1970, will also not be random. So, maybe I should play it again before 2039....
