What happens if there is a true emergency at work? Do employers just have to pay a bunch of fines every time this happens? What will the politicians do when lots of businesses that could have done business in Portugal instead go to another country that is more reasonable in their laws? If the politicians removed regulations and made Portugal much more attractive place for business, I think that would better accomplish their goal of improving workers lives. Businesses would be competing aggressively for Portuguese employees.
