IKEA has been rendering almost all it's catalogue images for years. The moment this is feasible it'll happen.
However, it seems hard to get right. Rendering fabric right is hard! There's definitely an uncanny valley of clothes rendering to get through.
- beaconstudios 5y agoI wonder if the solution makes use of softbody physics to drape the clothes virtually! That would be pretty neat.
