If Bitcoin is decentralized what are these centralized exchanges doing?

- treebot 5y agoThey are fiat on and off ramps, they hold crypto for you, and they allow you to exchange different cryptocurrencies.
- Jxl180 5y agoA stock exchange isn’t necessary to trade stocks, but it makes it far more convenient to instantly connect buyers to sellers. Crypto and the exchanges are no different.
