About potential life saving equipment, and it's behind a paywall. Seems wrong, and the US Coast Guard are starting to reference it.
Related concern was the US Coast Guard are no longer certifying certain equipment, so it moves the burden from USCG to private individuals & companies to ensure their safety equipment meets the required standards. No doubt insurance companies will look into whether the equipment meets the standard, and if not then refuse to pay out.
