Tangential, but from my understanding async code can be modelled with algebraic effects. I am excited for when they finally get added to OCaml.
- slaymaker1907 5y agoAlgebraic effects are way more powerful than async/await because they don't have the function color program. Higher order functions can work with both async and non-async functions and are only async if their input is async.
