MoviePass cofounder has bought the company back and is planning a relaunch
- Spivak 5y agoI really want them to be successful. My dad had the audacity to instill a lifelong love of movies in me and I would live at my local theater if I were able but the economics never really worked out. AMC’s A-List lives in such a weird zone for me. Three movies a week for $25/mo is enough money where I feel pressure to use it and guilt if I didn’t but three movies a week and zero options for guests isn’t really enough to make a day of it, ya know? Like if it was unlimited movies for me and three “day passes” for friends it would be a no brainer purchase.

- throwntoday 5y agoWhile I'm sure there is pent up demand to go back to theatres, there just aren't that many movies to watch. And I think enough people are opting for the at home streaming option that it will affect box office numbers. It's a shame, I really did enjoy going to the theatres.
