As much as I would like to uninstall Edge--and in the past, Internet Explorer--I am hesitant to do so. I have frequently been forced to use various state and local government web sites that only work with IE. One time I even had to revert to an older version of IE. I don't know why these web sites are so universally shitty, but that's another topic.

- BizarroLand 5y agoMore like changing things at the government level is an exercise in frustration and if the change isn't lead top-down it is almost guaranteed to fail. At the same time, the top-level people who have the power to enact the change don't like change and don't think it's needed and won't until external forces work on them to utterly destroy their mouldering architecture. We won't see the end of internet explorer based sites until it becomes literally impossible to access the internet through internet explorer.
- culopatin 5y agoWell edge is now Chromium based so it won’t make a difference in that case.
