Every year EU is becoming less and less livable for a middle class engineer.
The writing has been on the wall for some time already but it is time to consider other options.
- sho_hn 5y agoCould you explain how this news relates to your point? I'm curious.
- mathverse 5y agoSimply the fact that trains can replace planes is laughable. In EU? That’s just hilarious. There is an increasing amount of policies that decrease quality of life.
- dewey 5y agoHow exactly is improving train infrastructure decreasing the quality of life for you?
- jhgb 5y agoMaybe he's an aerospace engineer...
- mathverse 5y agoThe message is literally about "replacing planes with trains". It's not about improving the infrastructure enough to go toe to toe against planes.
- meragrin_ 5y agoRail is not being improved for the sake of improving it. It is being improved because they eventually intend to make air travel too expensive for most people.
- dewey 5y agoNobody is going to suddenly outlaw planes if a trip by train would be 5 times as slow. Of course the intention is to replace them with high speed trains that are providing a similar level of comfort and efficiency.
- mathverse 5y agoIn Europe? In EU where most of the countries are blatantly discriminating against each other?
- elzbardico 5y agoIt will replace only for us the peons. Rest assured our leaders will keep on flying.
- sho_hn 5y agoMost of my European dev colleagues prefer train rides because they can hack on the train.
- mathverse 5y agoMost of my european dev colleagues prefer cars.
- PaulDavisThe1st 5y agoSo what do planes or trains have to do with the subset of the euro dev demographic that you're familiar with?
- unethical_ban 5y agoThey don't really defend their point, they just restate it.
